Savings on every transaction
By replacing traditional printers with electronic receipts, you reduce costs:
- Basics: including paper and energy costs, purchase and depreciation of fiscal devices, and increasing costs of maintaining databases, among others, due to the growing number of invoices
- Labour: there is no need to deal with paper printouts (this applies mainly to sales peaks – there is no need to hire anyone extra for this purpose)
- Accounting and administrative: there is no longer a need to settle for each named invoice, and the cost of maintaining fiscal equipment or archiving and disposing of paper receipts is also eliminated

- A seller only needs a minimal amount of data to issue an e-receipt to a buyer. For e-commerce, an email address is enough, and for brick-and-mortar stores we have even developed completely anonymous solutions
- We do not collect personal data – the eparagony.pl service does not require signing additional data processing agreements or monitoring the provider’s compliance with this data. Therefore, consumers are protected

Ecology and carbon footprint
Electronic receipts mean:
- Reduced company carbon footprint (important from an ESG reporting perspective) – each paper receipt generates carbon dioxide emissions
- Ability to protect 800,000 m2 of forests and 31 million liters of water (on an annual basis in Poland) used to produce thermal paper for printing traditional receipts (which, in addition, is not recyclable!)
- Protecting people’s health – contact with paper receipts is toxic because they are coated with harmful substances such as bisphenols, which easily enter the body through the skin
